Canaveral Port Authority (CPA) completed the purchase of 9.61 acres of Brevard County-owned land at Port Canaveral’s Jetty Park.
With the $862,950 purchase complete as approved unanimously by Port Authority Commissioners in May and accepted by the Brevard County Commission on July 10, the Port Authority now owns all 45 acres of Jetty Park, a popular beachfront public recreational park at the Port’s east end.
“We are delighted this agreement with Brevard County is completed and the Port can now look ahead at sustaining one of the region’s premier recreational destinations,” Port CEO Captain John Murray stated.
