Ginger Spice Geri Horner has returned to her redhead roots ahead of the Spice Girls' upcoming reunion tour. The 46-year-old earned her famous nickname thanks to her fiery locks at the height of the band's fame in the '90s. Since then, she's gone through a series of style transformations, most recently sporting a strawberry blonde hue, but has now returned to the hair colour that made her famous ahead of her return to the stage alongside bandmates Emma Bunton, Mel B and Mel C on Friday night (24May19). I was keen to go back to a coppery ginger
Jason Aldean's baby daughter is back home recovering after a weekend health scare. The You Make It Easy singer and his wife Brittany took three-month-old Navy to the emergency room on Monday morning (20May19) after her temperature reached 104 degrees. The family went home the same day, but returned to the hospital on Tuesday when Navy fell sick again. "Basically she had, like, a stomach bug that caused a lot of vomiting and other stuff and turned into, like, a UTI (urinary tract infection) that got infected, making her have a fever and all that kind of stuff," Aldean told reporters at a press conference on Wednesday. "It's kinda been a crazy, rough week for her, but we finally got her with some antibiotics through an IV... so she turned a corner." The baby returned home from the hospita...
In what was expected to be a mostly YES vote, the Miami Beach commissions just voted 3-4 NO on bringing Ultra Music Festival to the city in 2020. For those not familiar with the area, Miami Beach is a separate city in Miami off the coast, much like Virginia Key. Right now, publicly, at least, Ultra has only been courted by Homestead-Miami Speedway, approximately 30 miles southwest of Miami. The city of Homestead last night approved later hours until 2am and a 10 year possible contract to the Speedway in order to court the festival. Miami Beach would have been a great opportunity to keep the festival closer to the clubs and hotels that sustained it for so many years when it was at Bayfront Park. The Miami Beach Commission did not offer up any alternatives for what it called a horrible ...

Experienced promoter Thomas Ovesen, most recently of AEG Ogden/Dubai Arena, has joined Saudi Arabia’s Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) as director of entertainment. Ovesen (pictured) exited Dubai Arena (now Coca-Cola Arena) in January to return to promoting independently. Prior to joining the Dubai Arena project, he was CEO of Dubai-based promoter 117 Live, after jumping ship from rival outfit Done Events in late 2015. DGDA, an initiative of the increasingly culturally minded Saudi government, aims to redevelop the ruins at Diriyah – the original home of the house of Saud and starting point of the Saudi state, on the outskirts of the current capital, Riyadh – into an “internationally renowned gathering place with world-class experiences and family friendly entertainment”. Business News Digital Labels & Publishers Top Stories By Chris Cooke | Published on Tuesday 21 May 2019 Sony Music has announced two significant upcoming changes to its royalty portal, which is pretty big news. Even though – as is often the way with things like this – to anyone outside the music industry the new functionality soon to be on offer would seem like something you’d expect ever royalty reporting system to offer pretty much as standard. The innovations, dubbed ‘Real Time Royalties’ and ‘Cash Out’ by the major, will allow artists signed to Sony labels to access royalty information about their music much faster and access monies they are owed quicker and more frequently. A memo sent by Sony to artist representatives explains that “once launched,
He’s offering his entire discography in exchange for donations that will go towards a new computer. Halcyon Veil affiliate Jesse Osborne-Lanthier has set up a GoFundMe to raise money to go towards a new computer. The producer’s mother passed away after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis in 2016, leaving him and his sister with over $80,000 worth of debt and mortgage. Since 2018 Osborne-Lanthier has been unable to pay for the mortgage payments as well as his rent, food and music equipment, and the bank is threatening to seize his mother’s belongings and house. On top of this, his computer, his primary tool for work as a producer, sound-designer, DJ, graphic designer and curator, is broken, preventing him from completing the freelance jobs he sorely needs. Matched in musical-myth-mania perhaps only by Richard Wagner, Karlheinz Stockhausen is the ultimate conundrum for those of us who believe keenly in shifting classical music culture away from its alpha-male genius complex – but are still enthralled by the music. Do we get to have it both ways? The German-born composer was the self-mythologiser extraordinaire who had entrancing charisma, bullish intelligence, no shortage of game-changing opinions, nor shortage of confidence with which to assert them. A guru with disciples and rivals, he fostered a personality cult that went way beyond his music to encompass fashion, spirituality, even a galactic origin story. Isn’t this precisely the artist-as-hero narrative we need to dismantle? He declared that God gave birth to him on the star Siri

After belting out a selection of Celine's most famous songs, including It's All Coming Back to Me Now, the British comic turned the conversation to the star's famous shoe collection - asking her just how many pairs she had. "Three thousand, five thousand..." Celine muttered.James then interjected he'd heard she has 10,000 pairs, and the music legend acknowledged the rumour was probably true. James then announced he'd been in touch with C...
Singer Aaron Carter has edged closer to revealing all about an inappropriate encounter with Michael Jackson when he was a kid. The 31-year-old I Want Candy hitmaker, who befriended Jackson when he was a child star, referred to the alleged interaction on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition, weeks after revealing he had a tale to tell about the King of Pop. In a trailer for the upcoming season of the series, Aaron says, "Michael was a really good guy, as far as I know, a really good guy. He never did anything that was inappropriate..." before adding, "Except for one time. There was one thing that he did that was a little bit inappropriate." He did not elaborate further on the statement. Aaron's new comments emerge two months after he angrily defended Jackson against child mol...
The Game of Thrones series finale last night was a divisive episode. In the EDM world, many DJs immediately turned to Twitter to express their feelings about the long-coming conclusion. For example, Diplo couldn’t pass up the opportunity to say “I told you so” about a somewhat predictive tweet he made a week ago. Moby is not one to stay quiet either and quickly chimed in alongside other dance music stars like Dimitri Vegas of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and GRiZ who was certainly not a fan of the series finale. Check out all their reactions below and let us know what you thought of the Game of Thrones finale on Twitter @YourEDM. and you all laughed at me pic.twitter.com/oYFR88HeHP — wes (@diplo) May 20, 2019 pic.twitter.com/NwA4kHOph8 — moby XⓋX (@thelittleidiot) May 20, 2019 Ho
The track is one of Eilish's three concurrent radio hits. It comes as no surprise that R&B giant Jeremih would be gung-ho on collaborating with uber-talented 19-year-old producer, Whethan, but the result is even more than one could’ve hoped from the duo. “Let Me Take You” is funky, fun, expressive, and summer-esque as Whethan takes a pop-inspired house deviation from his normal style. Jeremih’s smooth vocals bring the single to a heightened level of passion, and together the combination is nothing short of genius. “I had been sitting on this track with Jeremih for a while now and explored every possible version of the song before landing on this one. I’ve been really inspired by a lot of house music and wanted to find a way to bring that into my world. It was important to me that I made something that people co
The organisers of Woodstock 50 have announced that the festival has found a new financial advisor, in the form of New York-based investment bank and financial services firm Oppenheimer and Co. The future of Michael Lang’s Woodstock anniversary festival has been shrouded in doubt since Lang lost the event’s original financial partner, Dentsu Aegis’ investment arm Amplifi Live, and its production partner, Superfly. Upon its withdrawal, Dentsu representatives announced the cancellation of the festival. Event organisers say Oppenheimer will act as a “financial advisor to complete financing for the festival”. It is unclear whether the help from Oppenheimer constitutes the investment of capital or is limited to a purely advisory role. Oppenheimer’s head of debt capital markets and syndicati

Listen to a glitchy first track, ‘SPLIT’, now. Ireland-born, Hague-based experimental artist Zoe Reddy is set to release her debut EP, MACHINE. Out June 14th on UK label Phantom Limb, the EP bridges the gap between “avant-R&B and experimental electronic music”. It’s named after and inspired by “the rhythmic qualities of everyday motorised objects”. Reddy, who has a background as a pop vocalist, is a graduate of the Fine Art Academy of the Hague, specializing in performance art and installation. She recently played at Rewire festival – read our festival review below. Check out Reddy’s first EP track, ‘SPLIT’, and see the tracklist and artwork below. “I wanted ‘SPLIT’ to sound the way it feels, to rotate and twist, all while keeping an incessant rhythmic pulse”, she says. There is a poacher turned gamekeeper feel to interviewing Jessie and Lennie Ware over lunch. It’s usually them, in their double-act Table Manners podcast, doing the grilling – while doing the grilling. The 34-year-old singer-songwriter and her irrepressible mother have had all sorts of guests for supper: Sadiq Khan, Yotam Ottolenghi, Ed Sheeran (with whom Jessie wrote her biggest hit, Say You Love Me). They fed Cheryl Tweedy so well she had to leave with her jeans undone. They made Nigella’s pastry for Nigella. When George Ezra came over they had to order takeaway after they produced inedible short ribs. For this interview, though, they are away from the kitchen table. We are at Leroy, in London’s Shoreditch, a Michelin-starred sharing-plate bistro. When we meet, Jessie is eight months
